Disclaimer: I'm not against reMarkable as a Company or a product. Instead, I'm a potential buyer. Every review I watch says it's a brilliant device. From materials to software, Remarkable tablets are at the top. I'd love to try one.

However, a question nestled in my mind:

Why replace paper with a digital device that costs and consumes much more than paper and does a little more and much less?

'Let's save money!' — You could say

A reMarkable 2 costs 449€.

What can a reMarkable do best? Imitate paper, eliminate distractions, and provide a premium writing experience.

An A4 Moleskine notebook costs around 20€, has 192 pages, and eliminates distractions. I'll let you decide if it provides a premium writing experience.

But with 449€, you buy 4310 A4 pages to write. Let's say that you write an average of 5 pages a day…
