Thanks for your feedback! I tend to agree with you, but I think the crucial point is the last sentence of your post about the passive voice: “when the performer of an action is unknown or in cases where the performer distracts or is irrelevant.” It this case the relation cause-effect is lost: when this loss is acceptable, the passive voice is welcome. But only in that case. Don't you think?
