Induced complexity

Ignorance is the engine of induced complexity. What the hell is that?

Imagine observing twenty-two people running inside a rectangle drawn on the ground. Eleven have shirts of one color, and the other eleven have shirts of another color. A ball bounces between people, with a peculiar tendency to move towards one or the other end of the rectangle.
